The vet gently indicated he (our dog) was more than ready to leave and therefore as a family had to release him to another journey. "I ordered my items from Speaking of Dogs baskets & Gifts and used my credit card to pay - easy. I called, since I’m in the area, and made arrangements to pick up my items rather then having them sent to me. The box was ready for pickup within an hour. I bought a Celtic dog pendant for a gift and a jigsaw puzzle for myself and I’m really happy with both items. The jigsaw puzzle is currently on my dining room table half done & driving me crazy, which is what these puzzles are meant to do. Great items, great service. I’ll be back for sure."

They not only take in and care for unwanted and abandoned dogs, they offer great products also. My cousin after a long tough battle recently lost her sweet dog due to an unfortunate illness. I really wanted to do something for her, but what can you do or say to someone who has just lost a treasured family member? I rembered that Speaking of Dogs Rescue had just launched their line of cat and dog bereavement gift baskets. I went to the site and easily registered and found the basket, doggy appropriate and placed my order that day at 11am. I put a special note for my cousin and her family and there was even a place I could add instructions for the delivery.
Low and behold! Even though the delivery address was out of town, around 4:30pm I received an email stating that my basket was delivered and that someone had beem there to receive it. I got a call that evening from my cousin to thank me so much for the basket. She proceeded to itemize everything that was in the basket. She told me that whomever had put it together knew just what someone, who just lost their dear friend, would need. She stated that everything in the basket had either some kind of sentimental or comfort value. She said that she would use a few of the items now that were edible and the rest she could place in a little spot in her home reserved just for Emmy and be able to keep them forever. All my thanks to you all for your ongoing struggle to make this world a much better place for our loyal four legged friends and the people who care for them!

When my 16 year old dog passed away I was really surprised when I received a beautiful gift basket. This basket was filled with unique items that were specially chosen to help comfort me during such a difficult time. From the book, to the poem, to the dog angel pin, to the stepping stone, to the tea and honey, and everything else, it all made me feel like my friend cared and understood what I was going through. I didn’t know that this type of bereavement basket existed. I was very impressed. So impressed that I asked her where she ordered it from and I sent one shortly after to another friend whose dog passed away quite suddenly. I was pleased with the assistance and kindness they showed when I placed my order. My friend received her basket the next day and she immediately emailed me to say she was in tears and how wonderful it was.
